PJSSV Mandir, Amla Tola, Chaibasa is a model school (named after a pious lady, Padmawati Jain, mother of patron Shri Ashok Kumar Jain) established with high ambition of spreading knowledge in tribal area of Birsa Munda and arrival place of Ram and the Pandavas. The school was started on the day of Vasant Panchami in 1991 at Nimdih by Vananchal Shiksha Samiti. The school found a patron in Mr. Ashok Kumar Jain and the foundation stone of the School – building was laid on 9th July 2003. Shri Arjun Munda, the second Chief Minister of Jharkhand, inaugurated the new school building at Amla Tola on 9th July 2006.
The School enjoys the blissful patronage of great scholars, thinkers, and social activists which helps shape the positive attitude of the young learners and develop among them a healthy vision of individual, society and nation. The School which originally started teaching from Nursery to Class V, saw a steady rise to develop as a high School teaching up to class X, Continuous better result and co-curricular activities have made able to learn for the School full co-operation of society at large.
Right from the beginning this Insitution has been center of social awareness through its various per-academic and vocational training programmes for the upliftment of poverty – stricken area in six mohallas of locality.
Various modern teaching methods, approaches and techniques are used for different group of students. Innovation in the field of education is a culture of the school for which an academic council has been constituted. Rooted to ancient values the school aims at ensuring all round development of the students to serve the cause of the nation.
